10 Ways to live an Intuitive Life

If you were on an expedition in a foreign land and didn’t know the terrain very well, and had a limited time to achieve your goal, would you welcome an expert if they unexpectedly volunteered to show you the best and most beautiful way? or would you reject the guidance, stick to the map, and fumble on?

1) Firstly, it is a beautiful way to live Just sayin. I wasn’t really living this way- until I was, and then my whole life literally starting changing before my eyes. It is the way to living an extraordinary life. It is the opposite to living in your ego - which is what the world conditions us to do. Intuition doesn’t scream, shout or berate us. It very softly nudges, whispers and points us in the direction that is most fulfilling for us. It wants us to win. Then, all ya gotta do is have the courage to trust it.

2) Embrace your inner woo-woo Every single one of us has intuition, it’s just that it’s been so flattened by the pressures and the should’s of life that we can’t hear it. Tuning into your ‘vibes’ is necessary. Your vibes are the voice of your authentic self. You don’t think vibes, you feel them. Start to feel into your vibes, and distinguish the difference between ego and intuition.

3) Get out your head and into your body Yeh, it can be hard. Intuitive messages come from your heart and your gut, not your head, and we sense them more than we realise. To sense them your body must be in good working order. If you live in your head, your radar will dial down and possibly turn off altogether. Be present, do yoga, dance, shake your body, breath in and out. Get enough sleep. Eat healthy foods. Take a break. Respect your body.

4) Get grounded When we are ungrounded, we are unplugged. We overreact, exaggerate problems, adopt victim mentality, feel insecure, angry, cry easily and feel “off”. Being grounded is fundamental to tuning in. Reconnect with the earth by doing something physical. Go outside, move your body, literally put your feet in the mud (I like this one). Notice how the negativity starts to drain out of you.

5) Make time to be quiet A modern day nightmare. But to tune in, we must quiet a noisy mind, and this takes practise and patience. Intuition isn’t shy, but it is low key and doesn’t interrupt, so making time to be still and quiet in order to hear it is an absolute must. I can one thousand percent say this is a game changer. Also, daydreams can be intuitive visions, ones that come true. Magic.

6) Observe, don’t absorb Its important not to pick up low vibrational vibes, and we can do this without even knowing it. Ever come away from a situation feeling much flatter than you went in? Vibes. It is easy to absorb other peoples energy, anxiety, anger and sadness. Its ok to detach from other peoples vibes. Observe but don’t absorb them. Remind yourself that they aren’t yours to take on. It doesn’t make you a bad person.

7) Choose your words carefully This is sososo important. Words are powerful energies and can be used to sow seeds of destruction or germinate gorgeous flowers. The choice is yours. Ever called in sick to work, because you fancied a day off then later that day you ended up sick? me too.

8) Pivot This requires an element of trust that you build the more you begin to tune in and live according to your intuitive vibes. When your vibes suggest making a change - do so, and quickly, without big hesitation. Practise becoming flexible in your thinking and actions. practise makes perfect. This gets your pesky ego to quieten down too, you’re basically saying “no thanks ego, I know what I need to do right now”.

9) Lighten up, literally it helps to clear away everything that prevents you from tuning into your intuition. This includes de cluttering your space, donating unwanted clothes, unfinished business, neggy thinking. Scrutinize everything around you and decide whether these things add to or detract from your clear energy.

10) Trust your vibes The most important, and one that comes with time and practise. You know yourself better than anyone else possibly can. Ignoring what you know to be true in your heart and gut will only come back to bite ya.
