Life Lessons That Never Go Out of Style
1. The way a year starts is likely very different to how it will end
For better or for worse. When something feels so heavy that you fear it may never feel lighter again, it will. When things that you never thought would end do infact end, just know that it’s because bigger, better and more aligned things are on their way. The only constant in this life is change, but it’s up to you how you choose to navigate that change. Learning to let go is a skill worth mastering. But f*ck its hard.
2. Don’t rush for nobody
The only timeline we are on is our own. Each and every one of us is on a different and totally unique path. Theodore Roosevelt really was spot on - comparison is the thief of joy. Take your time, it will all come at exactly the right moment for YOU. Divine timing and all that.
3. We all have different, unique life lessons we must learn to move on
I believe that there are lessons we must all overcome in our lifetime to put us on our highest path. This aint easy huns, its actually kinda gut wrenching at times but I can now confirm that it’s worth it. Ever thought why do they get to be happily married with a baby before they were 30? Or why does everything always work out for her in her career? or, why does he get to be effortlessly wealthy? We are all here to learn, grow and evolve and we will all inevitably find different parts of our life harder to navigate than others. These are lessons. Believe it or not - you signed up to go through the lessson. Woo-woo? absolutely. Makes sense though.
4. The right people appear in your life when you need them most
Ever thought about something you want to do and then you happen to meet someone later that week that can help you with that very thing. Or you find yourself building a new group of friends with your new set of interest or beliefs? Magic. The universe has a way of serving us with exactly what we need, want and are ready for at the right time. Its then up to you to go after it.
5. Sometimes the pieces just don’t fit
UGH. It’s sad. It feels unfair. It hurts. But, accepting it, well that’s freedom.
6. Everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have
We are all a concoction of our environment and society. We all see the world through our own lens, and how we see it and feel things, is not the same as any other human on this planet. It doesn’t mean you have to approve of the way someone handles a situation, or how they communicate, but choosing to believe that they are doing the best can, allows compassion and that’s a powerful emotion. You can have compassion and still not absorb their pain.
7. If you wanna do something - just do it
Sounds simple but so many of us are craving for more yet stay exactly where we are. Fear keeps us stuck, but really no one is thinking about you as much as you are, and you’ll be surprised how many people admire and support you for going for it. Go for it.
8. Feel it all
The only way out is through. Cry. Scream. Yell. Dance. Move your body. Contact an energy healer. Write a letter and don’t send it. Do whatever you need to do to feel all your emotions and process them out of your body. I had no idea that if we don’t process our emotions they manifest as physical ailments in the body or effect our mental health. Feeling my way through everything I had inside me changed my whole world, made me more open and magnetic than ever. It was worth every time I cried in public.
9. Who we surround ourselves with is one of the most important choices we will ever make
Everything is just energy. We absorb the energy of our environment and I dunno about you, but I want to feel as vibrant and popping as possible. If someone drains your energy every time you see them, its ok to stop seeing them, especially if you are highly empathetic. That sh*t will drain the life out of you. Surrounding ourselves with high vibrational people, experiences and even food that is good for us, makes the world of difference.
10. You only get one life
The only thing that really matters is that your healthy and happy. Go after everything you want, even if you think you “can’t do it” or “the time isn’t right”. Hunnie the conditions will never ever be perfect. These are all limiting beliefs. Try and take just the first step and let the doors open for you. We are allowed to be our own biggest supporter. We are allowed to love our life. Yes, you can. I believe in you.
